The Energy of Business: Trusting Your Intuition in Decision Making

Being an entrepreneur often means making business decisions alone, swiftly and with confidence. While logic, data, and analysis undoubtedly play crucial roles in the decision-making process, there’s another, often overlooked factor that can significantly influence outcomes: intuition.
Intuition, often referred to as a “gut feeling” or a sense of inner knowing, is a powerful tool that every business leader already has within them.
It’s that automatic feeling, sometimes subtle, sometimes not, that guides you toward the right choice, even when all the facts and figures may point in a different direction.

The Power of Intuition
Intuition is more than just a hunch; it’s the culmination of your past experiences, knowledge, and subconscious processing coming together to provide insight and guidance.
While it may not always be rational or logical, intuition taps into a deeper understanding of a situation that may not be immediately obvious.
In the business space, intuition can help entrepreneurs make decisions
that align with their values, goals, and long-term vision.
Whether it’s choosing who to add to your team, saying yes to an opportunity, or navigating a challenge, trusting your intuition can lead to outcomes that feel right on an energetic level. That feel right even when you’re unsure why.

Cultivating Intuition
Trusting your intuition requires practice and self-awareness. It’s leaning into, and trusting your inner voice, quieting the noise of doubt and fear, and allowing yourself to be guided by what feels natural and true.
Cultivating intuition involves:
Self-reflection: Take time to reflect on past decisions where you had that innate feeling and you followed it, or when you didn’t. Did you follow it? What happened because you did or didn’t? How did you feel about the decisions? Identifying patterns can help you better recognize your intuition in the future.

Mindfulness: Practice techniques such as meditation or journaling to quiet the mind and tune into your inner guidance system. Be aware of any physical sensations that may come up, emotions you feel, and subtle cues that may signal a deeper knowing.
Listening: Open your heart and mind to receiving insights from unexpected sources. Sometimes, intuition comes in the form of a fleeting thought, a sudden inspiration, or a feeling of alignment with an idea or course of action.
I end with a spritzer of clary sage, juniper berry, patchouli and water to cleanse the space and bring it into connection. It acts as a collaborator to bring the space in balance.
Integrating Intuition with Data
Trusting your intuition doesn’t mean disregarding data and analysis altogether. Instead, it’s about finding a balance between rationality and intuition. Use data and information to inform your decisions, but also allow your intuition to weigh in on the final choice.
Your intuition is a powerful tool for helping you work through the ever-changing moments of growing a business.
By trusting your intuition in decision making, you tap into a deeper level of understanding and insight that can lead to more authentic, aligned, and ultimately successful outcomes with less curves and challenges in the road.
Practice leaning into your intuition, listening and trusting that inner GPS. Allow it to guide you on your business journey. After all, sometimes the most profound wisdom comes not from the mind, but from the heart. It comes from the natural abilities we carry without letting the outside world affect it.
